ROOM ACCOMMODATION

Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat offers 250 bedrooms inclusive of 24 Junior Suites and eight Grand Deluxe Suites. The hotel has rooms on floors 1 to 3 (east and west wings - Al Bustan Deluxe rooms) and floors 5 to 8 (tower floors), which include the Arabian Deluxe rooms and suites, the Deluxe Suites and the Executive Suites.

There are 73 non-smoking rooms and suites available on various floors. The hotel also has two rooms available for handicapped visitors.

The conferencing capabilities offer a superb range of multifunction venues, from intimate or informal gatherings through to lecture halls, reception rooms, banqueting chambers and the Oman Auditorium, and full audio-visual facilities are available in all. A full range of equipment and services for banqueting and conferencing is on hand, with secretarial provision and personalised assistance.

The hotel features 16 magnificent banqueting and reception rooms, two with minstrel galleries, including the Majan Ballroom, which can host banquets for up to 800, and the Gulf of Oman Room, overlooking the ocean, is perfect for hosting conferences and luncheons for up to 150. The adjoining Al Qurm Room allows greater flexibility where larger groups are involved.

Extensive hotel gardens and lawns can also be used for outside banquet functions

FACILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

The Business Centre is able to provide all equipment, all audio and visual systems for recording and replaying, Internet connections, all banqueting and conferencing facilities, all personnel from translators to secretaries, CyberAssist for 24-hour computer assistance, DVDs and DVD players, meeting rooms and private office space. All rooms have an interactive TV with limited Internet access. High-speed HSDL / ISDN lines are also available in the Lobby, and videoconferencing can be conducted in the privacy of your room or in the dedicated videoconferencing room in the Business Centre.

Business facilities with fax machines, black and white and colour photocopier, black and white and colour laser printers, desktop and laptop computers, laptop rentals, scanners, shredder, mobile phone rental, digital camera, PlayStation® and games, VCR player.

Secretarial services include personal secretary, typing, translating, binding and laminating.

Children Facilities
The facilities include a covered children's pool, playground and hotel-organised activities; high chairs, baby cots and babysitting services are available upon request. The children's' playground is located next to the beach where there are swings, a slide and rocking horses. Children's menus include dishes like hamburger and chips, spaghetti bolognaise, hot dogs and grilled cheese sandwiches.

We would like to inform our guests that the children's activities are not available during June, July, August and September.

Gymnasium
The temporary Gymnasium provides a variety of cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, bikes, elliptical and multi purpose multi gym and free weights (temporarily located on the 5th floor, adjacent to lifts 3 and 4 ).

The one-kilometre-long private beach is ideal for jogging, walking or just relaxing in the sun. We also offer jeux de boules (pétanque), croquet and beach volleyball.

For relaxation, unwind in the pool which is temperature controlled at 29°C (84°F). For sun worshippers, a large pool deck surrounds the free-form pool and the children's shaded splash pool. Swimming lessons for both children and adults can be arranged.

The hotel boasts four floodlit tennis courts and a full-time tennis instructor is available upon request. Jeux de boules (pétanque), putting green and pitch and putt facilities are also available. The hotel holds regular tournaments and other events, so check with the Tennis Village for the current programme.
