| Daman is situated 76 kms south west of Kathmandu at an altitude of about 2,400m. It is located on the Tribhuvan Highway (the first ever built highway of Nepal) in between Kathmandu and the town of Birgunj. For the view of the breath taking grandeur of the world's highest peaks extending in one glittering arc from the far west of Dhaulagiri to the far east of Mt. Everest, there is no other place than Daman. Other peaks that are visible from Daman are Annapurna III (7,555m), Phurbi Chyachu (6,637m), Choba Bhamre (6,016m), Gaurishanker (7,134m), etc. Many lovely panoramic views, sweeping vistas of nature are the exquisite masterpieces of Daman.
